Heritage of Team Coordin8
Donna was born into a motorsport loving family in 1974, and was out on her first Motoring News Road Rally at the tender age of just 5-weeks! Most of her childhood memories are of road and stage rallies up and down the country.
By the age of 12 Donna was learning to navigate, in preparation for obtaining her competition licence upon turning 14. Those early road rallies bought some good results and she was keen to move up to the world of stage rallying as soon as possible after her 16th birthday.
As well as co-driving for more than half of her life, Donna has also been involved in running rallies and championships for over 13 years. On top of this she has an industry career spanning over 10 years to date.
Work in the motorsport industry started for Donna when she joined Craig Thorley at MotorSport Travel, the country's top motorsport travel agency. The busy office specialised in all aspects of motorsport including the World Rally Championship and the World & British Superbike Championships, as well as MotorX, Speedway, Karting and Speed Boat Racing! All of this has given Donna many years experience in arranging the most demanding logistics for the most demanding of customers!
Early 2001 saw a move to the Cockermouth based Ford World Rally Team. Here Donna worked alongside Team Manager John Millington on the teams World Championship assault and coordinated the demanding Test Team programme, working with George Black and Christian Loriaux, in a demanding and ever changing role.
ProSpeed Motorsport enticed her back to Yorkshire, to run their Junior World Championship and British Championship Teams in 2004, and by early 2006 the concept of Team Coordin8 had been born.
